Aretha Franklin is an American singer and song writer. She began her career at a very young age. Her life was filled with a lot of challenges but that did not stop her from becoming one of the greatest singers of all time. She began her career singing in church at the age of 18, she started singing secular music after she landed a record deal with Colombia Records. She made a couple of hit songs and by the 1960, she was popularly known as the queen of soul. She had a successful career and she will always be remembered as one of the greatest. Aretha Franklin was famously known for love and heartbreak songs, but away from music her personal life was very stormy up until her demise at the age of 76.
