Man Charged With Faking Positive COVID Test to Skip Court Date

According to reports, a man named Junior Jumpp was arrested this past Tuesday after he tried to provide a fake positive COVID-19 test to skip an upcoming court date.

The 31-year-old from Connecticut was supposed to appear in front of a judge on November 30 for a bond review hearing over criminal cases against him. However, Jumpp was excused from making an appearance after his lawyer told the judge he received a screenshot showing the positive COVID test.

It was noted that investigators found out the result was fake, which led to the new charges against Jumpp. As part of Jumpp’s bond release, he was ordered not to be arrested for any other crimes. That didn’t happen, though, as he has now been charged with one count of second-degree forgery and fabricating physical evidence.
