A video has been released showing a man pushing a 73-year-old woman on a subway track in Brooklyn, New York.

According to CBS New York, the incident happened around 1:30 PM at the station located on the southbound A/C platform at the Clinton-Washington station.

Authorities say the suspect was smoking marijuana on the platform when he walked by the 73-year-old grandmother, the 82-year-old grandfather, and their 30-year-old grandson.

The report says the grandson was taking his grandparents to apply for Medicaid, but when the grandson asked the suspect to stop smoking, that’s when things took a turn.

The suspect, who is described as having a light complexion, between the age of 25 to 30 years of age, 5’7, and 200lbs, punched Fan in the face. When the grandfather rushed to his aid, he was then beaten. And to make matters worse, the suspect pushed the elderly grandmother onto the tracks of an oncoming train.

Luckily, the conductor was able to stop in time.

But the trio suffered injuries, the grandfather has been released, but the two remain in the hospital with severe head injuries.

“When I saw my dad, he had blood behind his head and a bleeding lip. My mother had oxygen tubes inserted down her throat. Her legs were wrapped in bandaging,” daughter Ren Cheng said through a translator. She was too upset to appear on camera.

“How can there be people like this? You only say one thing, and they turn around and assault you? There’s no law and order anymore in America,” Cheng said.

“There are so many people walking around here that are ticking time bombs,” added Tiffany Coates of East New York.

A mother who reported her 6-year-old son missing has now been charged with running him over and dumping his body into the Ohio River.

Brittany Gosney of Middletown, Ohio, and her boyfriend, James Hamilton, reported Gosney’s son, James Hutchinson, missing on Sunday morning. However, after being questioned by police, Gosney confessed to killing the child. While she did not provide a motive, she did inform authorities that she attempted to abandon the boy in the Rush Run Wildlife Area in Preble County on Friday. The 29-year-old woman admitted to dragging the child with her vehicle before leaving the scene. About 40 minutes later, she returned to the area, where she found Hutchinson with a head injury. She then took him to a home on Crawford Street.

At some point, Gosney and 42-year-old Hamilton believed that the boy was dead. That is when they decided to dump him into the Ohio River. As of late Monday, Hutchinson’s body had not been recovered.

Chief David Birk of the Middletown Police Department says that Gosney is “not showing much remorse” in the wake of her confession. She was arraigned in Middletown Municipal Court Monday on several charges in connection to the murder. Hamilton has been charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.

Gosney’s other two children were in the vehicle when Hutchinson was dragged with the car. However, they were unharmed and are now in foster care.

The school district has organized a vigil for Tuesday evening at Barnitz Stadium, which is located next to Rosa Parks Elementary School, where the “joyful” first-grader was a student.

Coronavirus mRNA vaccines may not work for obese people

A new study suggests the coronavirus mRNA vaccines may not be as effective when administered to obese people.

So far, only 15% of the U.S. population has been vaccinated against Covid-19. Of that number, less than 1% are Black.

The CDC even has a term for it: Black vaccine hesitancy.

According to the news media, the vaccines are “safe and effective.” Yet obese Black women are dying within hours after receiving their vaccine doses. A majority of Black women who reportedly died after receiving the vaccines are obese.

A new study out of Italy found that Pfizer’s vaccines may be less effective in obese people who received both doses.

Researchers at the National Cancer Institute Regina Elena determined that obese people produced only half of the antibodies compared with people with a normal body mass index (BMI).

“Since obesity is a major risk factor for morbidity and mortality for patients with Covid-19, it is mandatory to plan an efficient vaccination program in this subgroup,” the study’s authors wrote.

In addition to obesity, other risk factors for Covid-19 include respiratory disorders, heart disease, diabetes, HIV and smoking.

Researchers say further studies are needed to determine why the vaccines are less effective for obesity people.
