NeNe Leakes is interviewing applicants for her new establishment, The Linnethia lounge near Atlanta, Georgia.
Linnethia Monique Leakes, who was let go from Real Housewives of Atlanta last year, is having trouble hiring staff for her new namesake lounge.
In her second job openings post on Instagram, she wrote:
The Linnethia Lounge now available for private events. Send info to email@example.com. Walk in this FRIDAY April 23rd from 3pm to 6pm for “on the spot” interviews for Waiters, Waitress & Bartenders with lots of personality (we have something special in store for you) Oh and drinks on me! @thelinnethialounge #nightlife #loungeinduluth #lifeoftheleakes #nightlounge #duluthnights.
Not many people are eager to have NeNe for a boss.
One commenter on RhymeswithSnitch wrote:
“A person who has a horrible track record of speaking to people in derogatory ways is opening a lounge for the public to critique and post on social media. Can’t wait for the sh*t show to happen.”
NeNe is not the only sole proprietor having difficulty hiring employees. Most unemployed people refuse to work, thanks to unemployment benefits and stimulus checks from the government.
A McDonald’s franchise owner in Florida offered to pay $50 to job applicants just to show up for a job interview.
Blake Casper, who owns 60 McDonald’s in the Tampa area, blames unemployment benefits for making people lazy and unmotivated to find work.
Casper said it’s a challenge getting people to sit down for an interview because most unemployed people earn more from the government than they do working minimum wage.
Unemployment benefits are set to expire in May and June for most people who haven’t held a job since Covid peaked last year.
