Four people, including three elementary school-aged children, died in a Texas house fire last week. Officials believe the family was using the fireplace to stay warm after losing power during a winter storm that slammed the state.

PEOPLE reports that the Sugar Land Fire Department responded to a call around 2 a.m. When firefighters arrived, the house was already engulfed, and flames were pouring out of the home’s front door and window.

Three children and their grandmother were found deceased in the home. The mother of the children and a neighbor were treated for burns.

The children have been identified as Olivia, 11, Edison, 5, and Colette Nguyen, 5.

Two separate GoFundMe’s have been set up in honor of the children and have collectively raised more than $430,000. One was set up by the children’s aunt on behalf of their father, Nathan Nguyen, and the other by their mother, Jackie Pham Nguyen.

SLFD spokesman Doug Adolph told the Houston Chronicle that the fire is still under investigation.

“Obviously, they were trying to stay warm,” he said. “We can’t say that’s what the cause was; we just think we know they were using a fireplace.”

Cops arrested a man who attempted to bury his wife alive during a violent attack at a California beach Thursday night.

According to The New York Post, cops responded to a 911 call from the woman just before 9 p.m. She told the police that her husband had just tried to kill her on Coronado Beach.

Twenty-three-year-old Jose Luis Mares III was arrested for attacking his wife after the couple got into an argument that quickly escalated to violence while they were at the beach.

Cops told KSWB that Mares III originally tried to throw his wife out into the surf before bringing her to a lifeguard tower, where he tried burying her alive in the sand.

“She said there was a hole in the ground, and the hole had previously been there from probably kids digging it during the day,” Detective Ryan Brennan of the Coronado Police Department told the news outlet. “But during the struggle, she said he threw her in that hole when he began putting sand on top of her.”

The suspect kicked his wife repeatedly and then suddenly stopped and fled. That’s when the courageous woman ran toward Ocean Boulevard, where a passerby found her on the sidewalk and alerted authorities.

Fans are receiving the first look at HBO‘s documentary centered around the life and music career of iconic singer Tina Turner.

On Tuesday, HBO dropped the official trailer for the documentary “Tina.” According to People, the documentary will start at the beginning of her childhood. “My mother used to sit in the window of the kitchen when she was making dinner on Sundays. I used to just watch her. She was just so pretty,” the 81-year-old says in the trailer. “One day, she wasn’t in that window. She was never in it again,” said Tina referring to the moment her mother left her family to get away from the abusive relationship she had with Turner’s father.

“I wanted her to come for me. I waited, and she never did. And it’s alright — you know why?” she adds. “I’m a girl from a cotton field that pulled myself above the destruction and the mistakes. And I’m here for you.”

The documentary was directed by Dan Lindsay, T.J. Martin, and Lightbox. In the description, the doc is described as a “revealing and intimate look at the life and career.” “Tina” will include interviews with Tina in her hometown of Zurich, Switzerland, along with new footage, audiotapes, and personal photos of the songstress.

Hollywood greats like Oprah Winfrey and Tina Turner – who played her in the hit film “What’s Love Got to Do with It” – will also be featured in the documentary. The doc will hit HBO on March 27.
