Why Rappers Are REALLY Scared of Chief Keef..
Welcome back to Watch on Loop, today on the channel we are going to find out Why Rappers Are REALLY Scared of Chief Keef. Keith Farrelle Cozart better known by his stage name Chief Keef, is an American rapper and record producer. Cozart’s music first became popular during his teen years in the early 2010s among high school students from Chicago’s South Side. In 2012, his popular local single “I Don’t Like” was remixed by American rapper Kanye West and reached the Billboard Rap Top 20, further raising Cozart’s profile.
Chief Keef has faced ongoing legal issues during his career, including weapons possession charges, house arrest sentences, and a performance ban imposed by Chicago authorities. Though he was dropped from Interscope in late 2014 and later signed to 1017 Records, he continued self-releasing projects through his own Glo Gang label. On September 5, 2012, Chicago Police stated Chief Keef was being investigated for a possible connection to the shooting death of fellow rapper and Englewood resident, Joseph Coleman, who performed under the stage name “Lil JoJo”. This began after Chief Keef had mocked his death on Twitter, which he later claimed was the result of his account being hacked. Coleman’s mother has openly maintained Chief Keef paid to have her son killed. The up-and-coming teenage rapper from Chicago named Lil Jojo was murdered by gunfire. If you have been following the weekly chaos going on in Chicago, you would know that the news of another teenager being killed is nothing new. According to this horrifying piece Complex did, 38 teenagers were killed, making Lil Jojo the 39th teenager to be murdered in Chicago this summer. He had beef with Chief Keef and Lil Reese, two rappers who rep their own 300 clique. We know that Jojo had a number of run-ins with Reese. And we know that hours before Jojo was gunned down, he released a video where he drives by Reese, yelling threats, while a passenger in the car screams, “I’m going to kill you.” Naturally, the Chicago police are on the case and they will be probing the Twitters of everyone involved. That should also include someone who goes by the name of OsoArrogant$wagg on Twitter, a friend of Jojo’s and someone who tweeted out “you dead” to Keef and his associate Lil Durk. Finish this video for more about Why Rappers Are REALLY Scared of Chief Keef.
