Hoodlum is a 1997 American crime drama film that was written by Chris Brancato and was directed by Bill Duke. The film is a fictionalized account of the gang war between the Italian Jewish Mafia alliance and black gangsters of Harlem that took part in the late 1920s and the early 1930s. the film starred Laurence Fishburne and Tim Roth as the main casts alongside Andy Garcia, Cicely Tyson, Richard Bradford and many others. the film received seven award nominations including the NAACP image awards.
