Memphis rapper Young Dolph was shot and killed outside of a popular store in Memphis, Makeda’s Butter Cookies.
Maurice Hill, the owner of the shop where the shooting happened told FOX13 that Young Dolph, 36, walked into the store to buy cookies. When the rapper was leaving, someone then drove up, shot and killed him at the South Memphis bakery.
According to police, Young Dolph fell after being hit with dozens of bullets. Then the gunmen stood over his fallen body and continued to fire shots until he was dead.
One of the gunman was firing with an automatic machine gun.

Police called the shooting “senseless” and said, “our hearts go out to the Thornton family and all who were affected by this horrific act of violence.” The release closed by saying officers are committed to working to curb these types of incidents.
