Police said the driver was headed north on Telegraph Road when they lost control and crashed into a pump at the Citgo near I-94, where another person was putting gas in their vehicle.
The pump and both cars ignited on impact.
People inside the car rushed to get out of the vehicle as soon as the flames began.
A driver a few pumps away ran towards the fire to assist those trapped inside and bring them to safety, including a child.
The two other vehicles were then pulled away from the pumps as the fire burned.
Despite the collision and fire, no injures were reported in either vehicle.
