Henry Ruggs III has been let go by the Las Vegas Raiders following a drunk driving crash that left a female motorist dead early Tuesday.

Stores selling Ruggs’ Las Vegas Raiders merchandise have pulled the items from their shelves, according to TMZ.

The 22-year-old star wide receiver faces two felony charges of driving while under the influence and reckless driving, ESPN reported.

Ruggs was released from the hospital and taken straight to jail on Tuesday to await a bond hearing scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 3.

Ruggs was behind the wheel of a custom wrapped Chevrolet Corvette when it plowed into the back of a Toyota RAV4 on a busy roadway several miles west of the famed Las Vegas strip at about 3:39 a.m. local time.

When police arrived at the scene, the Toyota was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters put out the blaze and discovered the deceased female driver inside.

Photos taken at the scene show the extent of the damage to both vehicles. The Toyota was a charred shell and the Corvette’s front end was completely demolished.

Ruggs and his passenger, Kiara Je’nai Kilgo-Washington, with whom he has a baby daughter, remained at the scene. Police say he “showed signs of impairment,” but the LVMPD declined to disclose the results of his breathalyzer test.

Police are barred by federal privacy law from disclosing medical information, Officer Larry Hadfield, a department spokesman, told ESPN.

Probation is not an option in Nevada for a DUI that causes death. Ruggs faces a maximum of 20 years in prison if convicted.

The Raiders selected the Alabama standout in the first-round of the 2020 NFL draft. At the time, team owner Mark Davis said, “He was the only person I wanted in this draft.”
